The Concertino Prague Ensemble of Soloists, founded in Prague 1995, it brings together a number of young graduates from some of Europe´s leading colleges of music, specialise in repertoire of the late baroque and classical period. Using modern instruments, the Concertino Prague Ensemble of Soloists are dedicated to the re-creation of authentic, historically accurate Baroque performance practises. Their tireless pursuit of stylistic purity coupled with minute attention to detail has resulted in distinguished critical acclaim. The debut of this young ensemble took place on November 6th 1995 during the inauguration celebrations of „The Building Human Rights“ in Strassburg, France, under the presence of the Czech President Václav Havel. In 1997 Concertino won the hearts of the Spanish public during “the IX. International festival of music and dance” in Ubeda.
Artistically challenging was also the cooperation of Concertino with Mannheimer Music Academy in December 1996 (Arvo Pärt: Berliner Messe 1992, Heinrich Schütz: Missa Brevis 1657). The Concertino Prague Ensembles of Soloists appears regularly at the different Czech and foreign festivals.
